High Strength and Chemical Resistance at Working Temperatures to 400°F (204°C)
Drake HTT-3 Performance
Drake HTT-3 composite shapes resist high physical loads over an operating temperature range of -40o F up to 400o F (-40o C to 204o C). The composite material’s overall balance of mechanical properties maintains structural integrity at high temperatures, and its epoxy formulation affords greater chemical resistance than composites made from other types of thermoset resins.
Other performance benefits of Drake HTT-3 include exceptional dielectric strength, making it a solid choice for applications where electrical isolation is essential. It also provides both thermal and electrical insulation.
The composition of HTT-3 consists of high temperature epoxy coupled with Meta Aramid fibers. It contains no added lubricants. Meta Aramid fibers are recognized for their thermal insulation and resistance to flame, abrasion and wear. The same type of fibers are woven into fabric for welding blankets and heavy duty protective clothing for firefighters.
